CD Cover Contest THEMECD Cover Contest by chulii
the theme is: create your personal cd cover!
imagine you have a band, how would this band be like: what kind of music do they play? is it a blues, punk, gothic, electro, metal, pop, ... band? are they popular or do just few people know them? what part would you be? singer, drummer, guitarist, didgeridoo player, ...?
tell us how this band represents you!
then go and create a cd cover for your band. give your band a name and the cd a title. title and name doesn't have to be on the cover itself, but in the description.
if you do have a band in real life, you can also make a cd cover for this band. but only if this band really represents yourself.
there are three skill-levels, but you can only participate in one: beginner, intermediate or advanced. for every level there will be only one winner.
contest starts february 15th and ends on May 1st.
the contest is open to traditional art, digital art and photography.

Project Positivity Competition1st, 2nd & 3rd will win at least a 3 month sub.Project Positivity Competition by BloodshotInk
Check my journal for the full list of prizes
My first project - way back when - before I even knew what a senior was, was ProjectPositivity. I forgot how important this concept was to me, and after rediscovering it I've decided with conviction that more people could benefit from this. So to give you all a little incentive I'm going to offer prizes....
But before all that let me explain about what the project is, and what it is for...
The idea of this group is very simple. A lot of artists have self esteem issues, depression, anger, negativity.. that sort of thing. Sometimes we need to be reminded of the good things we have done or can do.
The idea of the project is you make an image, however you like, that has text on it. The text should be positive things about yourself. As many as you like but more than 10.
Its difficult to list positive things about yourself, so if you do one with only 10 good things and sl
Hello everybody, I hope that everyone is well. I have finally made it to summer and moved back home for the year. University and living away from home has been great but it is nice to be home as well. This year at university hasn't been too bad I have got some great marks and some that are not too bad but I will find out all my results tomorrow so fingers crossed for that.
Of course now that university is done and I am home for the summer I can work on my art without feeling guilty about not doing my work. I am a bit out of practice but I shall persevere and hopefully I will improve. I am still doing photography when I get the chance and my drawings are still fan art but I am trying to expand this.
However, the time I have to spend on artwork will be greatly diminished due to the amount of plans I have for the summer. I will be spending a fortnight in Orkney in July and then in August I start my full time yearlong placement.
I am going up to Orkney to participate on an archaeological excavation as a part of my degree program. I hope that it will be an enjoyable experience although a lot of hard work. I have been on two excavations before so that should help me. I have to write a journal whilst I am there so that I can show what I have learnt from the experience. However, I am rather apprehensive about the travel there and back as transport is few and far between.
Then, I arrive back and start my placement. As, a part of my degree I have decided to do an extra qualification which requires a placement and a report on the placement. This should provide me with vital experience which I can take away with me and it should also be something good to put on my CV but once again I am apprehensive about this as I have not had a job before. This will be a new exciting opportunity but a tiring one so I am working on my art while I can.
Best wishes everyone
