Hello everybody, I hope that everyone is well. I have finally made it to summer and moved back home for the year. University and living away from home has been great but it is nice to be home as well.  This year at university hasn't been too bad I have got some great marks and some that are not too bad but I will find out all my results tomorrow so fingers crossed for that.

Of course now that university is done and I am home for the summer I can work on my art without feeling guilty about not doing my work. I am a bit out of practice but I shall persevere and hopefully I will improve. I am still doing photography when I get the chance and my drawings are still fan art but I am trying to expand this.

However, the time I have to spend on artwork will be greatly diminished due to the amount of plans I have for the summer. I will be spending a fortnight in Orkney in July and then in August I start my full time yearlong placement.

I am going up to Orkney to participate on an archaeological excavation as a part of my degree program. I hope that it will be an enjoyable experience although a lot of hard work. I have been on two excavations before so that should help me. I have to write a journal whilst I am there so that I can show what I have learnt from the experience. However, I am rather apprehensive about the travel there and back as transport is few and far between.

Then, I arrive back and start my placement. As, a part of my degree I have decided to do an extra qualification which requires a placement and a report on the placement. This should provide me with vital experience which I can take away with me and it should also be something good to put on my CV but once again I am apprehensive about this as I have not had a job before. This will be a new exciting opportunity but a tiring one so I am working on my art while I can.

Best wishes everyone :)
